Depression Therapy

Is Depression Pulling You Down?

Does it feel like you’re stuck in a fog you can’t get out of? Like you’re moving through life on autopilot, but nothing really feels good anymore?

If this sounds familiar, I want you to know you’re not alone and I’m confident I can help. My approach goes beyond surface-level solutions to help you reconnect with hope and meaning.

What Depression Can Look Like

Depression doesn’t always show up as overwhelming sadness. It can be subtle, persistent, and different for everyone. Some of the most common signs of depression include:

  • Feeling empty, numb, or hopeless

  • Loss of interest in activities you used to enjoy

  • Fatigue or low energy, even after resting

  • Trouble concentrating or making decisions

  • Changes in appetite or weight

  • Sleep disturbances (either sleeping too much or too little)

  • Persistent self-criticism or feelings of worthlessness

  • Thoughts of death or suicide

If you recognize these signs in yourself, it’s important to remember: depression is treatable, and help is available.

How Therapy Helps

Depression can feel like you’re stuck in a cycle where each day feels heavy, joy feels distant, and even small tasks can seem overwhelming. Therapy offers a way out of that cycle by creating a space where you can be fully seen, heard, and supported without judgment.

In therapy, we work together to:

  • Explore the roots of your depression, whether they’re connected to life events, stress, relationships, or long-held patterns of thinking

  • Understand how depression affects your thoughts, emotions, and behavior, and begin to gently shift those patterns

  • Develop tools and strategies to manage difficult days, regulate emotions, and regain a sense of control

  • Reconnect with your strengths, values, and sense of self, which depression often obscures

  • Build structure and momentum, even when motivation is low, so that healing becomes sustainable

Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you—because you’re not broken. It’s about working together to understand what you’re going through and finding a path that feels more manageable, more hopeful, and more aligned with who you are.

You Don’t Have to Do This Alone

Depression may feel like it’s stealing your motivation, your energy, or your sense of self, but therapy can help you get those things back. Together, we can:

  • Make sense of what you’re feeling

  • Identify small, meaningful changes that can create real impact

  • Strengthen your ability to cope with challenges

  • Move toward a life that feels more balanced, connected, and fulfilling

If you’re ready to take the first step toward feeling better, I’m here to support you.
