Self-Esteem Therapy

Are You Struggling to Feel Good About Yourself?

Do you often doubt your worth, second-guess your decisions, or feel like you’re never quite enough no matter how hard you try? Is your inner critic constantly telling you that you’re failing or falling short?

Many people struggle silently with low self-esteem, even if they seem confident on the outside. My approach offers a safe, supportive space where you can begin to quiet that inner voice and build a healthier, more compassionate relationship with yourself.

What Low Self-Esteem Can Look Like

Low self-esteem doesn’t always look the same. It can show up in your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and choices. Sometimes it’s loud and obvious, and other times it’s subtle and persistent. Common signs include:

  • Constant self-criticism or a harsh inner dialogue

  • Difficulty accepting compliments or recognizing your strengths

  • Comparing yourself to others and feeling like you fall short

  • Avoiding challenges for fear of failure or embarrassment

  • Feeling unworthy of love, success, or happiness

  • Overachieving to “prove yourself,” or underachieving out of fear

  • People-pleasing or struggling to set boundaries

  • Shame, guilt, or feeling like you’re not good enough

  • Trouble making decisions or trusting your own judgment

Low self-esteem can affect every part of life from your career, to your relationships, to your overall mental health. But it doesn’t have to stay that way.

How Therapy Helps

Self-esteem isn’t something you’re born with or without. It’s shaped over time by experiences, relationships, social and cultural messages, and the way you talk to yourself. Therapy helps you untangle those influences and start building a sense of self that feels real, resilient, and rooted.

In therapy, we work together to:

  • Identify where your negative self-beliefs come from and how they’ve been reinforced

  • Challenge the inner critic and replace it with more balanced, supportive self-talk

  • Explore and affirm your core values, strengths, and worth

  • Heal from past experiences that damaged your sense of self

  • Build confidence in your ability to make choices, set boundaries, and be yourself

Therapy isn’t about becoming someone different; therapy is about uncovering the authentic version of you that has been there all along beneath the doubt and fear.

You Don’t Have to Do This Alone

Struggling with self-esteem can be painful and isolating, but you don’t have to navigate it by yourself. Together, we can:

  • Create space for self-reflection and growth without judgment

  • Learn tools to break free from old patterns of shame or self-doubt

  • Practice showing up more authentically in your relationships, your work, and your own eyes

  • Build a foundation of confidence

If you’re ready to stop being your own worst critic and start becoming your own ally, I’m here to support you.
